This quilt was inspired by a print on an antique Japanese handkerchief. Completely hand pieced and appliquéd from several pieces of colorful Japanese textile. The braids were created by making tubes of black cloth, then zigzag stitching them onto the quilt. The thickness of the cloth gives a sense of texture. Machine quilted.
